About Emily.
An award-winning lawyer and founder, Emily Purvis is recognised for her leadership in legal innovation and for establishing PURE Equine Law as a leading national practice.
Drawing on three decades of experience inside the equestrian industry, top-tier legal experience and strong commercial insight, Emily founded PURE Equine Law in 2021 to provide legal services exclusively to the equine sector. She advises on matters including liability and risk, disputes, business structuring and regulatory compliance - grounded in a deep understanding of the industry’s unique challenges.
In 2025, Emily was named a winner of the Business News 40Under40 award and received the Professional Services category prize, recognising her as one of the state’s leading entrepreneurs and future business leaders. She was named a finalist for Sole Practitioner of the Year at the 2025 and 2024 Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards, placing her among the top 10 solo lawyers in Australia two years running. In 2023, she received the Lawyers Weekly 30Under30 – Sports and Entertainment award, recognising her innovation and impact in the delivery of sports law in Australia.
